Folkloric Clothes

Since 2010 we explore folkloric patterns from the times before the industrial revolution. Then, people eat from their gardens, spending their work day tending to their animals and their dwellings, crafting themselves useful tools or decorative objects. In those times the shirts, trousers, skirts, coats, hats, or shoes were mostly made at home. They had to suit the morphology of the body through the lifespan of their wearer, reflecting the cultural, tribal and regional symbols. Sometimes, hundreds of hours were spend to ornate and beautify a single shirt, to express one's personality and story

Inspired from this philosophy rooted in culture, respect for nature and artisanal work, we took the decision to make garments that are made to last. There is a particular energy about clothing that is meant to be with you for a long time. Every detail has to be considered. Style is more important then trend.
